Fuses - Dryer Thermal Fuses

Dryer thermal fuses have a lot of authority among the dryer components. When they blow, the dryer is crippled until you replace the fuse. These thermal fuses blow when the temperature gets too high and this is generally caused by bad air flow. When the dryer can't get the hot, humid air moving out through the dryer venting, heat builds up and can pop the thermal fuse. Whenever you replace a thermal fuse, it is always a good idea to clean all of the built up lint out of the dryer and the dryer vent hose. If the dryer vent hose goes a long distance (120 ft. or more) or if it goes up and over a wall, a dryer vent booster may be necessary.
