GE Bearing & Support Kits - Dryer

Even though it may seem like your dryer drum hangs mysteriously in the air, depending on the brand, it either uses a rear bearing, drum rollers, felt and teflon or some combination of these parts. Whirlpool is famous for the rear drum roller design with felt up front, Frigidaire has their rear bearing kit (the silver ball) with felt up front and GE is now using a rear bearing kit with little teflon slides on the front. If you can hear a bearing problem, don't dry any further- this is one repair that proves the old saying "a stitch in time saves nine." Quick replacement can literally save the drum and maybe even the entire drying machine!
