R290 8 OZ CANS R22 REPLACEMENT 22A
DC2222
$19.79
22A 8 OZ CANS R290
This 8 oz can of R290 (the refrigerant formerly known as 22A) is the equivalent of 1 12 oz can of R22. R290 operates at lower head pressures and offers colder air and improved performance compared to R22. R290 will extend the life of a system because of the lower head pressures. R290 (22A) replacement refrigerant requires approximately 1/3 the amount of the original charge in the system and must be charged as a liquid. This R22 replacement refrigerant contains an Orange Scent which aids in leak detection Leaking systems must be repaired.and be leak free before recharging. Refrigerants can not be mixed in a system, existing refrigerants must be removed by a licensed technician. We recommend the use of Duracool DuraDry22 and Duracool SystemSeal22 (sold separately) before recharging. *Not for use in R410a Systems OR Automotive Systems. Do not order Duracool R290 Refrigerant Formally Duracool 22a if the intended use is in a Central Residential or Central Commercial Air Conditioning System. Allowable uses can be determined by visiting the E.P.A website. In the United States the E.P.A. (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations state that it is illegal to use any hydrocarbon refrigerant and / or Duracool 22a or R290 Refrigerant in a Central Residential or Central Commercial Air Conditioning System. We advise that you refer to your local, state and federal laws governing the sale and use of any refrigerant. DURACOOL R290 Replacement Refrigerant is flammable and will ignite if it comes in contact with an open flame or spark, and is not intended for use in systems designed for non-flammable refrigerants. Always work in a well ventilated area and follow all manufacturers directions at all times. We advise that you refer to your local, state and federal laws governing the sale and use of any refrigerant. REGULATIONS REGARDING R290 REFRIGERANT - UNITED STATES R290 is marketed and sold worldwide as a replacement for R22 except for the United States (see regulations below - if you continue with purchase you are agreeing with the regulations noted here). In the United States it is illegal to use a hydrocarbon refrigerant as a substitute for a Class I or Class II ODS refrigerant for any end use other than industrial process refrigeration systems, or retail food refrigerators and freezers (stand-alone units only). See 69 Fed. Reg. 11946, 11952 (March 12, 2004), and 76 Fed. Reg. 78832 (December 20, 2011). Under the SNAP regulations at 40 C.F.R § 82.172, "use" is defined as "any use of a substitute for a class I or Class II ozone-depleting compound, including but not limited to use in a manufacturing process or product, in consumption by the end-user, or in intermediate uses, such as formulation or packaging for other subsequent uses." R290 is a proposed EPA acceptable substitute refrigerant for R-22 under the SNAP Program The EPA has classified R 290 as acceptable, subject to use conditions, in new retail food refrigerators and freezers (stand- alone units only). All Federal, State and EPA regulations must be followed. In accordance with EPA regulations at 40 CFR Part 82.17 (R-290 CAS #74-98-6).
