DRYER ELEMENT DE4771 SUP/CHO
Exact Replacement Part for Whirlpool / Kenmore / KitchenAid late model dryer heating element 8544771, WP8544771. This element is 5400 watts 240 volts and it has 2 5/16" terminals. The element coil itself is approximately 3/4" If this element needs replacing you should be able to find a break in the element wire where it burned in two. You can also use an ohm meter to check the element wire for continuity. If you need the high limit thermostat and thermal fuse kit to go with this element see part # 280148. The thermistor temperature regulator is #WP8577274. If the dryer will not do anything at all, there is also a thermal fuse you should check- part # WP3392519. All these are linked to the right.
